Tableau Infractus a Webzine for Earthdawn

15 years after the first issue, Tableau Infractus has remained a staple in the Earthdawn community. Websites come and go, but webzines remain. Tableau Infractus was a passion project to show that true staying power required easy access for an interested fan base.

Magazines since the 1600’s, have been used by hobbyists to support their interests, share their ideas and store their love for their chosen hobby to be enjoyed by others in the future. Then the world wide web supplanted the printed magazine for this purpose in the 1990’s, by allowing everyone the opportunity to have a website and share their love for their hobby. By 2010 most of the open web was gone and replaced with the mostly corporate structure that is the web today in 2025. Tableau Infractus was the webzine I wrote for Earthdawn between 2010 and 2012. In the first issue I surmised that the PDF files generated would last for at least 10 on the web. Now 15 years later they have propagated across the world and multiple cultures.

There are some vestiges of the websites still available from that time, though not many. The Tableau Infractus issues have been shared, stored, and shared again by many people over the years. PDF aggregator sites have them. As well as public access digital libraries across Europe and Asia, a large portion of which are not easily accessible by the USA market. Because of the difficulty of access, either by the requirement of a paid site, or through US federal embargo, I have decided to give them a singular home here.

These releases were for the third edition of Earthdawn. Though it would take very little effort for any Game Master to adjust them to the current edition.

There are many Earthdawn archives I created under the Tableau Infractus masthead highlighting the works of other creators. I did so as webpages were disappearing along with their content. I intend to make them available again on this this domain. To some people they will be old hat, because they have copies, to others it will be the first time they will experience that content.

“Earthdawn Forever, Baby!”
